Scuba Diving

 

Want to learn to dive, or simply to upgrade your skills? Phuket is a great place to achieve your PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certificate. It is rated among the top 10 diving destinations in the world and many of the centers in the area boast years of experience.

 

Diving day trips from Phuket to Phi Phi Island and the Racha Islands operate throughout the year. Both beginners and experienced divers will appreciate the underwater scenery at Phi Phi, the fascinating King Cruiser wreck close to Anemone Reef, and the exciting diving at Shark Point - named after the Leopard sharks which live on the sandy bottom. For world-class scuba diving and the really big fish, go for a liveaboard dive cruise to the Similan and Surin Islands in the Andaman Sea.

 

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

 

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) is for you. PADI dive shops offer this program either in a pool, off a beach or from a dive boat.

 

While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
 

To do Scuba diving in the sea, we first require you to start in a pool. The pooltraining is normally done 1 -2 days before the actual dive in the sea.  At the moment only boat dives is possible due to big waves on the west side of the island of Phuket. Mimimum age is 10 years old.

Program

DAY 1: We pick you up at your hotel and take you to any of our PADI dive centers. If you live in Patong, we take you to the 5 star LE MERIDIEN Hotel 5 min’s drive from Patong.

We first start with a theory lesson followed by a small quiz.

After that we go to the swimming pool and practice some

skills you need to be able to perform before we allow

you to dive in open water.

All this takes normally between 1- 3 hours.

We take you back to your hotel after practice.

DAY 2: We pick you up at 07.30 if you live in Patong.

Boat leaves from Chalong Pier around 08.30. On some days we dive at Racha Yai and some days we dive at Phi Phi Island. We always do 2 dives. 60 min each dive. Breakfast, lunch, equipment is all included in the price. We are back in Patong around 3.30 PM or 6.30 PM depending on dive sites.

Open Water Diver Course
